Born from the stars — moissanite was first discovered in a meteorite crater in Arizona in 1893. Today's lab-grown moissanite carries the exact same magic: a refractive index of 2.65, compared to diamond's 2.42, giving it 2.5x the fire and brilliance of a diamond at a fraction of the cost. It scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than any gemstone except diamond — making it a lifetime stone, not just a beautiful one.
